Annamaria Colao MD, PhD

Dr. Annamaria Colao is a Professor at the University of Naples Federico II. She graduated from the University of Naples Federico II.

Dr. Colao has been involved in clinical and laboratory research since she was a student in 1980. Since then, her publications and research have been focused on pituitary tumors, especially prolactinomas, and acromegaly.

Dr. Colao has also focused her interest on the differential diagnosis of Cushing’s disease by using inferior petrosal sinus sampling.

Her research interests are Endocrinology, Pituitary Tumors, Rare Diseases, Osteoporosis, Obesity, Pituitary Gland, Neuroendocrine Tumors, Thyroid Diseases, Cardiovascular Risk, and Hypertension.
