Annalisa D'andrea PhD

Annalisa joined Roche pRED as Head of Discovery, Immunology & Inflammation in May 2015. She has 20 years of experience in basic and translational research in immunology and inflammation. Her research has focused on understanding pathways and cells at the critical interface between the innate and adaptive immune systems, and how these two systems are intricately intertwined.

Before joining Roche, Annalisa served as Executive Director and Section Head of Discovery Biology at SRI International, where she was responsible for developing strategies to identify new molecular targets, and advance drugs through discovery and into development. She previously led the SRI International Center for Immunology, Inflammation, and Infectious Diseases and, before joining SRI, worked at Chiron Vaccines (acquired by Novartis).

Annalisa received her doctoral degree from the University of Florence while training at the Wistar Institute in Philadelphia. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship training at the DNAX Research Institute in Palo Alto, California.
