Anna-sophia Wahl MD, PhD

Prof. Anna-Sophia Wahl is a Professor of Neuroanatomy at the Institute of Anatomy and a Principal Investigator at the Institute of Stroke and Dementia Research. As a new SyNergy professor, she is able to further build up her lab, extend her network, and foster her research. Anna-Sophia is interested in understanding how the brain deals with brain damage such as a stroke, and how the brain initiates internal repair mechanisms that are the basis for the recovery of impaired motor or cognitive functions.
