Dr. Ann-Margret Ervin is an Assistant Scientist in the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Ervin also holds a joint appointment in the Department of Ophthalmology, Wilmer Eye Institute.

Dr. Ervin’s research interests focus on the design and conduct of randomized clinical trials of interventions to treat and prevent ocular disease and visual impairment.

Dr. Ervin is currently the Co-Principal Investigator of the Data Coordinating Center for a multicenter natural history study of Stargardt Disease and for a randomized controlled trial of the effect of lutein and zeaxanthin supplementation on macular pigment in ocular albinism at the Dana Center for Preventive Ophthalmology.
