Ann Daly is Professor of Pharmacogenetics at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. She holds a BA and Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from the University of Dublin (Trinity College), Ireland. She was a postdoc at the University of Geneva in Switzerland and then moved to Newcastle University where she was a founder member of the Newcastle Pharmacogenetics Research Group. Her current research is focused on genetic susceptibility to idiosyncratic adverse drug reactions especially drug-induced liver injury, pharmacogenetics of the human cytochromes P450, and the genetics of complex diseases more generally. She has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles and has an H-index of 80.
