Ann has worked in the ASC industry for 30 years. She has been responsible for every aspect of financial & clinical operations in numerous freestanding surgery centers and has been a surveyor for the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) since 2006. Currently, she is Chief Nursing Officer for SourceMedical, a leading provider of software and EHRs for ASCs, HOPDs, hospitals and therapy clinics.

Ann’s extensive clinical background is in the operating room, where she served as a scrub nurse, circulator, educator, and director. She is an active member of AORN and ASCA and at ASCA’s national meeting in May 2014, ASCA – Foundation (ASCAF) selected Ms. Geier to represent the association as a liaison with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). The AAAHC Board of Directors appointed her to the Accreditation Committee – one of 5 Board members assigned to this committee.

Ann has an ADN from Palm Beach State College, a BS in Health Arts and an MS in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis. She is CASC & CNOR certified. She speaks at national meetings on topics such as Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, Billing & Collections, Case Costing, QAPI, Credentialing, Peer Review, and Staffing. She contributes articles to Outpatient Surgery Magazine, ASC Focus, Becker’s ASC Review, and she has written several white papers, as well as an e-book, Admin 101: What Every New ASC Administrator Needs to Know.
