Anja Ehrhardt PhD

Anja Ehrhardt is a full professor and Chair for Virology and Microbiology at Witten/Herdecke University in Witten, Germany. Besides studying adenovirus-host interactions, her research focuses on the development of customized adenovirus vectors for translational approaches in gene therapy and oncolytic virotherapy. In recent years, she has strengthened her international visibility in the adenovirus vector field by establishing and characterizing a cloned adenovirus library that captures the natural diversity of human adenoviruses for arbitrary genetic modification and vectorization.
