Anish John MD

Dr. Anish John is the Associate Medical Director at the Positive Sobriety Institute, Chicago IL where he oversees care for patients in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. He is board-certified in General and Addiction Psychiatry (ABPN) and Addiction Medicine (ABPM) and has an adjunct faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. John has an active interest in teaching and is involved in the ongoing training of Psychiatry residents and Addiction Psychiatry fellows. Dr. John has research interests that include emerging behavioral addictions like gaming disorders, the interface between digital media and addiction, the assessment and treatment of impaired healthcare practitioners, and utilizing neuro-modulation techniques to influence the outcome of psychiatric/addictive disorders.
