Anirban Bose MBBS, MD

Anirban Bose, MBBS, M.D is Associate Professor of Medicine and Nephrology at the University of Rochester, NY. A gold medalist in MBBS, Dr. Bose graduated from Grant Medical College, Mumbai, India. He received his nephrology and transplant immunology training at Emory University and began working as a Nephrologist at the University of Rochester in 2003. He is the recipient of multiple awards and honors including the American Society of Transplantation’s Council Basic Science Fellowship Training Grant (2001), Young Investigator Award (2001) and the Henry and Bertha Buswell Fellowship from the University of Rochester.

His research has been supported by grants from the American Society of Transplantation, the National Kidney Foundation and the Renal Research Institute. He has been recognized for his teaching with numerous teaching awards from his students and peers alike. He has published a number of articles in key scientific journals including the Journal of Immunology and the American Society of Transplantation along with contributing chapters to books on Transplantation and Nephrology. He currently runs the long term transplantation clinic at the University of Rochester.
