Anil Gopinathan MBBS, MD, DNB, FRCR, FAMS

Dr Anil obtained his post graduate degrees of MD (Radio-diagnosis) from Mumbai University in 2006 and Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists, London in May 2007. He has previously worked as an honorary Consultant Radiologist at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals, NHS Trust, United Kingdom. Dr Anil has over 40 publications in various medline indexed journals of repute (mostly as a lead or corresponding author) as well as 2 book chapters to his credit. He regularly reviews for well known journals like European Radiology, AJNR, Cancer Imaging etc. For his keen interest in teaching, through the last few years he has been an invited speaker at several national and regional conferences and educational sessions. Dr Anil has around 10 years of experience in interventional radiology (body and neuro). He has performed several hundreds of peripheral vascular and hepatobiliary interventions (including liver transplant related interventions, DEB TACE, Y90 radioembolisations and thermal ablations for malignancies). Currently, his special interest is in neuro-vascular interventions and has established this service at NUH. He has also started certain novel therapies in NUH such as intra-arterial chemosurgery for retinoblastoma, dural venous sinus stenting for idiopathic intracranial hypertension and thrombectomy for intracranial venous sinus thrombosis.
