Angus Nightingale MA, MBBC, FRCP, MD

Angus Nightingale trained in Cambridge and London, going on to do heart failure research in Cardiff, Oxford and Adelaide, Australia. He is now a Consultant Cardiologist at Bristol Heart Institute and was Associate Foundation Programme dDrector at Bristol Royal Infirmary. His areas of clinical cardiology interest are non-invasive imaging, valvular heart disease and heart failure and his research areas are in resistant hypertension and heart failure.

Dr Nightingale is committed to postgraduate medical education and believes improving links between primary and secondary care is crucial. He is most proud of innovative illustrations (such as washing up gloves) for understanding the pathophysiology of heart failure!
