Angelo Avogaro MD, PhD

Angelo Avogaro is Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the School of Medicine, University of Padova, Italy. He leads the Laboratory of Experimental Diabetology at the Venetian Institute of Molecular Medicine in Padova.

Professor Avogaro research focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the development of long-term vascular complications of diabetes and the potential pharmacological prevention and treatment of these conditions.
