Angela Zacharasiewicz MD, MBA

Dr. Angela Zacharasiewicz is a pediatric specialist focused on the respiratory system. She treats all respiratory conditions in childhood, pediatric allergy, pediatric asthma, cough syndromes, and cystic fibrosis. Currently, She is the head of the pediatric respiratory clinic at the Wilhelminenspital in Vienna. She is also the deputy head of the Working Group on Pediatric Pneumology of the Austrian Society of Pneumology (ÖGP), the General Secretary of the Austrian Council on Smoking and Health, the Secretary of the European Respiratory Society, and a Privat Dozent (Associate Professor) at the Medical University of Vienna. She is an active researcher focusing on Respiratory Medicine, Allergology, and Pulmonology. Current projects include “Induced sputum and cystic fibrosis”, cough and wheeze monitoring in respiratory diseases, and research into the effects of tobacco exposure on health outcomes in children.
