Dr. Angela Vinturache is an obstetrician and gynecologist with more than 15 years of experience in pregnancy and women's health care. She completed her medical school training and specialist residency training at the top of her class. Her specialist training was followed by a doctorate (Ph.D.) at the University of Calgary that produced new scientific evidence about how the kidneys and hearts of babies develop and adapt to life after birth. She went further and specialized in high-risk pregnancy and maternal medicine in London UK and the University of Oxford, UK. She developed a clinical interest in maternal medicine and high-risk obstetrics. Her expertise covers pregnancy complications such as diabetes, high blood pressure, preterm birth, premature rupture at membranes, twin pregnancies, as well as a mother with various diseases and afflictions from prior to pregnancy including hypertension, diabetes, bowel and kidney issues, mental health, skin, or hormonal problems.
In addition to seeing patients in the office, delivering babies on maternity, and doing cesarian sections and surgeries for women with gynecology problems, Dr. Vinturache is involved in research with national and international teams and works with various committees from Alberta Health Services to improve health and women experiences with health care.
