Angela Siler Fisher, MD, FACEP, is the founder of MaveRx, a leadership consulting firm, which develops leaders within and outside the field of medicine. Dr. Fisher’s three-step approach to leadership development concentrates on essentials that are divided into three steps: networking and formalization of mentors; establishment of credibility; and the acknowledgment of both individual and team successes.

Dr. Fisher was a founding member of the BCM Section Emergency Medicine and residency training program. She also served as the medical director of the Ben Taub Hospital Emergency Department.

Dr. Fisher earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with highest honors from The University of Texas Medical Branch and a Doctor of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine.

Her training includes an emergency medicine residency at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, DE, where she served as chief resident for emergency medicine while serving as the president of the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association. She completed an Administration Fellowship in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Christiana Care Health System and earned the distinction of Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
