Dr. Angela Richard-Eaglin, DNP, MSN, FNP-BC, CNE, FAANP, CDE® is the Associate Dean for Equity and an Associate Clinical Professor at Yale School of Nursing. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and a champion for expanding diversity and inspiring cultural intelligence (CQ) and endorsing the humanitarian ethos within healthcare organizations and health professions education programs to influence translation to clinical practice. Her nursing career spans nearly 30 years, all of which have been dedicated to advancing equity among vulnerable, underrepresented, marginalized, stigmatized, and financially disadvantaged populations. She has experience teaching in Baccalaureate pre-licensure programs and MSN Programs, and she also has extensive leadership and clinical practice experience. Her clinical experience includes primary care, Veterans health, Women’s health, urgent care, and public health.
Dr. Richard-Eaglin is a globally recognized leader and mentor for her dedication to and support of initiatives aimed at cultivating environments that authentically embrace differences and embody inclusive excellence. She serves on the Board for the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties and is the Board Lead for the Diversity Committee. She is on the Editorial Board of Nursing Economics, The Journal for Health Care Leaders. Additionally, she serves on the National League for Nursing’s Taking Aim: Addressing Structural Racism, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Implicit Bias & Social Justice Task Force and several other advisory boards.
