Dr. Angela Shu-Yuen Peng, MD, is an assistant professor of otolaryngology at Baylor College of Medicine, specializing in otology, neurotology, and skull base surgery. She is board-certified in both otolaryngology–head and neck surgery and neurotology, with expertise in the comprehensive medical and surgical treatment of complex ear and balance disorders.

Dr. Peng’s clinical focus includes chronic ear disease, hearing loss, vestibular and balance disorders, facial nerve conditions, and lateral skull base pathologies. She is experienced in advanced procedures, including cochlear implantation, and in managing conditions such as cholesteatoma, Ménière’s disease, and acoustic neuromas.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Rice University and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Peng completed her residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University, followed by a fellowship in otology, neurotology, and skull base surgery at the University of Minnesota.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Peng is actively involved in medical education and research, contributing to scholarly publications and training the next generation of specialists in her field. Her work has been recognized with multiple honors, including research and leadership awards from national otolaryngology organizations.
