Angela Dispenzieri, M.D., is a professor of medicine and of laboratory medicine and pathology at Mayo Clinic. She graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology at Mayo Clinic, where she joined the faculty in 1998.

Dr. Dispenzieri holds several leadership positions, such as vice chair of the clinical research committee of Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center, chair of the hematology research at Mayo Clinic, and president of the International Society of Amyloidosis.

She has received many honors and awards, including the Serene M. and Frances C. Durling Professorship, the Outstanding Investigator Award from the Department of Medicine, and the Distinguished Clinician Award from Mayo Clinic. She has extensive research experience and publications in the fields of plasma cell disorders, amyloidosis, Castleman's disease, and virotherapy.
