Angela D. Smith MD

Angela D. Smith, M.D., orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty interest in sports and exercise medicine at the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, is Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. She was elected to represent the Americas on the FIMS Executive Committee, having previously served as President of ACSM.

Her orthopedic interests focus on injury prevention and rehabilitation, particularly for young athletes and dancers, and for others pursuing sport or fitness activity. Her additional goal is to help youth and adults find how much fun it can be to become more fit, and how good fitness can feel!
