Andrew Sonin, MD, FACR is Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology at Radiology Imaging Associates in Englewood, Colorado. He received his undergraduate and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Washington University in St. Louis. After a diagnostic radiology residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was Chief Resident, he completed fellowships in MRI and musculoskeletal radiology at Northwestern University in Chicago and the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Northwestern and subsequently, at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the Maryland Shock Trauma Hospital in Baltimore. During this time, he was a consulting radiologist for several professional sports teams. He entered private practice in 1998, but has remained active in publishing, peer review, lecturing, and education in the field of musculoskeletal radiology,
currently serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Sonin has published over 50 peer reviewed articles and abstracts. He currently serves as a manuscript reviewer for 5 radiology journals, is a Senior Member of the International Skeletal Society, and is on the Executive Committee of the Society of Skeletal Radiology.
