Andrew Allegretti, MD MSc is an Assistant in Medicine in the Division of Nephrology at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He received his undergraduate and medical degree from Brown University and a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health. He completed residency training in Internal Medicine at MGH, followed by subspecialty training in Nephrology in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital joint fellowship. He takes care of all patients with chronic kidney disease. He also researches kidney injury related to advanced liver disease like cirrhosis, sometimes called hepatorenal syndrome.
