Andrew M. Ramage focuses his practice in the areas of commercial, employment and governmental litigation. He is a skilled litigator with significant jury and bench trial experience in both state and federal courts. He also has considerable experience in the areas of administrative law and electronic or e-discovery.Mr. Ramage's private sector experience includes representation of corporations, employers, insurers, physicians, health care providers, and banks. He offers them comprehensive advice and litigation services for claims involving contractual matters, business torts, labor and employment disputes, civil rights claims and medical malpractice claims.
For his public sector clients, Mr. Ramage provides advice to and litigates on behalf of the State of Illinois, counties, universities and schools involving contractual and personnel issues, civil rights disputes and FOIA & Open Meetings Act issues. Mr. Ramage currently serves as a special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois and also is a Special Assistant State's Attorney for Sangamon County for civil rights claims. He serves as outside general counsel to the Sangamon County Emergency Telephone System Department and the 911 Board. Mr. Ramage is also the chief outside labor attorney for the Sangamon County Sheriff in employee arbitrations.
