Andrew R. Wolf MB, BChir, MD, FRLA

Professor Andrew Wolf qualified from Cambridge in 1980 and trained in anaesthesia and paediatrics in the UK and abroad. This included 4 years in Bristol as lecturer in Anaesthesia. During a period in Melbourne Australia he developed a particular interest in the rapidly developing speciality of paediatric cardiac anaesthesia and intensive care. He returned to Bristol in 1995 in order to help build a new paediatric cardiac programme under the spotlight of media coverage and a national investigation. The Bristol Paediatric Intensive Unit is now a 18 bedded unit treating over 800 patients from Wales and the South West and looking after over 400 children undergoing cardiac surgery each year.
