Clinical Director Education and Training MedSTAR Emergency Medical Retrieval Service A/Professor James Cook University Anton Breinl Centre for Public Health. Andrew Pearce is a Senior Emergency Physician and Clinical Director of Training and Education at MedStar Emergency Medical Retrieval Service. Andrew trained at Flinders University then Royal Adelaide Hospital before traveling to the United Kingdom and working at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

Andrew also worked for the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) and sailed from the UK to work at Rothera Base on Adelaide Island, Antarctica. Andrew spent 18 months with Westpac Surf Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter in Sydney to gain further experience in all aspects of retrieval medicine and now he is one of the Medical Retrieval Consultants and Coordinators at MedStar, the South Australian emergency medical retrieval service.

Currently, a Group Captain in the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) specialist reservist as Clinical Director of Emergency Medicine and Aeromedical Evacuation actively involved in teaching, policy, and deployments. Andrew is actively involved in teaching: EMST (Early Management of Severe Trauma) Director in SA, MIMMS Director (Major Incident Medical Management and Support Course), SA Ambulance Intensive Care Paramedic course and medical student/emergency trainee tutorials.
