Andrew M. Ratz PhD

Andrew (Andy) Ratz, Ph.D., is Senior Director in Delivery, Device and Connected Solutions, a part of the Medicines Development Unit in Lilly Research Laboratories, Eli Lilly and Company. Dr. Ratz provides leadership and direction to the integrated development of devices (mechanical, electromechanical and software), drug-device combination products, and packaging systems for both the biologic and small molecule portfolios.

His current organization is responsible for comprehensive portfolio management, development of in-depth control strategies, product registration, and technology transfer into manufacturing. He has worked for Eli Lilly and Company for over 20 years, with significant experience across all phases of drug and device development, technical transfer, and marketing applications. Dr. Ratz graduated from Indiana University with a BS in chemistry and earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from Harvard University.
