Dr. Andrew Evans Leake, originally from Mechanicsville, is excited to return to Virginia and begin practice with Vascular Surgery Associates. Dr. Leake completed his undergraduate education at Virginia Tech where he majored in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise and graduated summa cum laude. He then earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Following medical school, he completed his surgical internship and vascular surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He served as Administrative Chief Resident in his final year.
His clinical interests include minimally invasive endovascular techniques for the treatment of complex aortic aneurysms, lower extremity peripheral vascular disease, carotid disease, and dialysis access. In addition to the Richmond Academy of Medicine, Dr. Leake is also a member of the American College of Surgeons, Association for Academic Surgery, Eastern Vascular Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
