Dr. Andrew John Bierhals, M.D., M.P.H., is a radiology expert witness who specializes in thoracic radiology and cardiac imaging, based in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was issued a medical license by the states of Florida and Missouri and was certified by the American Board of Radiology in diagnostic radiology and earned the certificate of Advanced Proficiency in Cardiac CT from the ACR. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Sports Medicine in 1993, followed by an M.P.H. degree in epidemiology, and thereafter earned an M.D. degree in 200 from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He then completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri, in 2005, and finally his fellowship in cardiopulmonary radiology from the Washington University School of Medicine, Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, St. Louis, Missouri, in 2006. Currently, he is the Vice Chairman of Quality and Safety at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and also an associate professor at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is a member of The Mallinckrodt Connection (TMC). He has several publications to his credit.
