Andrew C. Swift MB ChB, FRCS, FRCSEd

Andrew Swift is a consultant ENT surgeon and rhinologist at Aintree University Hospital, honorary consultant at the Walton Centre and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool. He is also Honorary Senior Lecturer at both the University of Liverpool and Edge Hill University.

Andrew qualified from the University of Sheffield in 1977, trained in Bristol and Liverpool, and was an MRC research fellow in 1984-5. He was appointed as a consultant at Walton Hospital in 1989. He became a pioneer of endoscopic sinus surgery in 1989 and has since trained generations of surgeons and taught on many courses nationally and internationally. His interests include the frontal sinus, open rhinoplasty and the endonasal repair of CSF leaks.
