Andres Laserna MD

Andres is a GSA Advance Representative currently serving on the Communications Committee. He is a Colombian medical doctor currently working as a Research Assistant for the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, USA. He considers that social media can improve scientific networks and enhance information sharing, which he describes as an essential golden opportunity to overcome sepsis as a threatening entity. One of his main motivations is to explore alternatives to reduce septic shock mortality and improve outcomes in middle- and lower-income countries.
