Andres Barriga Martin MD

Dr. Andres Barriga is Head of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at the National Paraplegic Hospital of Toledo, where he is dedicated to spinal surgery for patients from all over the country. He is also Head of the Traumatology Team at the HM IMI Toledo Polyclinic. He completed his training at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra, for which he is a Doctor, and his specialty at the University Clinic of Navarra. He has made various stays and visits to foreign centers.

Dr. Andrés Barriga is the author of more than 50 scientific articles published in Spanish and international journals. A regular speaker in spinal surgery courses. He has been Secretary-General of the Spanish Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (SECOT) and is currently a member of the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Society of Spinal Column (GEER) For 10 years he has taught Anatomy at the Toledo School of Sports Sciences (University of Castilla-La Mancha) He is currently Associate Professor of Traumatology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Castilla-La Mancha and directs the Research Group in Spinal Pathology at the National Hospital for Paraplegics.
