Andreas Schuster MBBS MD, PhD, MBA, FSCMR, FESC, FACC, FAHA

Andreas Schuster received his MBBS and MD from Leipzig University, and the Heart Center Leipzig, Germany. He spent parts of his cardiology training at the Charite University Hospital in Berlin, Germany, at St. Thomas’ Hospital London, UK and the Heart Centre Goettingen, Germany. After four years of magnetic resonance related research in the Division of Imaging Sciences and Biomedical Engineering at St. Thomas Hospital, London he has been admitted to the King’s College London degree of PhD. Andreas Schuster is currently working at Georg August University in Goettingen, Germany and at King’s College London, UK. His main research interests are cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology especially of myocardial viability, perfusion and myocardial deformation and their quantitative assessments using state-of-the art noninvasive imaging. His work focuses on ischemic heart disease, systolic and diastolic heart failure, congenital heart disease and cardiomyopathies.
