Andreas R. Baudy, Ph.D. is an Assoc. Principal Scientist at Merck & Co., Inc. and a member of the Investigational Laboratory Sciences Group in the Safety Assessment and Laboratory Animal Resources (SALAR) Department. Andreas received his B.S. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the Pennsylvania State University in 2005. After receiving his PhD in Molecular Medicine from the George Washington University, he was accepted into the post-doctoral fellowship program at Genentech and worked in the Biomedical Imaging Department developing in vitro and in vivo imaging assays to support Translational Oncology.
He then joined the In Vitro Pharmacology department at Merck Research Laboratories to develop assays to support Lead Op. In 2013, Andreas transferred to SALAR to develop imaging assays for investigative toxicology issues. Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to Assoc. Principal Scientist and has taken on increasing responsibilities within the group including a lead role for evaluating novel 3D organ technologies.
