Andrea Gauld PharmD, BCPS

Andrea joined the faculty at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in November 2011. Since that time she has provided educational sessions for the Family Medicine residents and faculty in multiple areas of pharmacy, including hypertension, and smoking cessation. In conjunction with her pharmacy students, she plays an active role in the residency Family Health Center, providing pharmacotherapy treatment recommendations and patient education. She runs a monthly morning report focused on optimizing medication regimens and reducing polypharmacy. She sees patients in the pharmacy clinic for chronic disease state management and medication education diabetes. Andrea also does an elective rotation for family medicine residents in pharmacotherapy. Andrea is an Assistant Professor at Notre Dame of Maryland University School of Pharmacy, where she teaches in multiple courses including pulmonary and central nervous system modules of the pharmacotherapy sequence. Other areas of interest include evidence-based medicine, women’s health, sports medicine, and behavioral health.
