Andrea Fiorillo (MD, Ph.D.), is a Professor of Psychiatry in Naples (Italy) at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. He is currently a Board member of the European Psychiatric Association (EPA), Co-Chair of the Section on Education in Psychiatry of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA), member of the WPA Operational Committee on Education, an Honorary Member of the WPA, and President of the Italian Society for Social Psychiatry. He is Editor in Chief of European Psychiatry and Deputy Editor of the International Journal of Mental Health Systems.
Andrea Fiorillo has authored about 200 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals and several chapters in different scientific books. He has edited nine books in the field of mental health, including the best sellers “How to succeed in psychiatry” (Wiley-Blackwell, 2012) and “Psychiatry in Practice: education, experience, and expertise” (Oxford University Press, 2016). He has an IF of 30 (Google Scholar). He has extensively lectured abroad. His main research interests include education in psychiatry, social psychiatry, psychiatric epidemiology, prevention of mental disorders, and promotion of physical and mental wellbeing in people with severe mental illnesses.
