Andrea Allen PhD

Dr. Andrea Allen Ph.D., an internationally recognized expert in body dysmorphic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and other obsessive-compulsive (OC) spectrum disorders, is now seeing patients in private practice in New York City.

For over a dozen years, Dr. Allen has conducted research on the pathophysiology and treatment of OC spectrum disorders as the senior psychologist in Dr. Eric Hollander's Compulsive and Impulsive Disorders Program at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. As a member of the medical school faculty, she trained and supervised postdoctoral psychologists and psychiatry residents in the diagnosis and cognitive behavioral treatment of these disorders. She also served as the Director of Psychological Services for Mt Sinai's Compulsive and Impulsive Disorders Center of Excellence.
