Anca Porumb MD, PhD

Dr. Anca Porumb, MD, PhD, is a Romanian dentist, university professor, and expert in general dentistry, orthodontics, and dental imaging, currently serving on the faculty at the University of Oradea, Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Romania. She graduated from the “Iuliu Hațieganu” Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca in 1998 with a degree in dentistry and subsequently obtained specialist qualifications in General Dentistry and Orthodontics, as well as proficiency in maxillo-dental radiodiagnosis.

Dr. Porumb earned her Doctor of Medical Sciences in Dentistry from UMF Iuliu Hațieganu in 2008 with a thesis on clinical-radiological diagnosis of isolated dental anomalies, completed her habilitation thesis on dental imaging in January 2020, and was appointed University Professor in 2021. In addition to her academic roles, she has maintained a private dental practice in Oradea for more than 25 years and serves as Vice President of the College of Dentists in Bihor County, Romania. A recognized author of specialized books and a frequent invited speaker at international dental congresses, Dr. Porumb’s work focuses on dental imaging, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and the clinical applications of advanced diagnostic methods in dental care and research.
