Dr. Anatoly Martynyuk is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Neuroscience and has been with the University of Florida since 2007. Dr. Martynyuk earned a Master of Science degree from Kiev State University as well as his PhD and DSc in biophysics from Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology in Kiev, Ukraine.

Dr. Martynyuk is a neuro-biologist investigating mechanisms of developmental neurobehavioral effects of neonatal exposure to general anesthetic agents. His outstanding research is evident from publications in highly respected journals, including Anesthesiology, Brain, Circulation, Molecular Psychiatry, Stroke, and others.

Dr. Martynyuk has been a principal investigator on projects funded by the National Institute of General Medicine and National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. Dr. Martynyuk has extensive collaborative links within the University of Florida and internationally. He currently serves as a foreign collaborator on two research grants funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Dr. Martynyuk is on editorial boards of several scientific journals and serves as a reviewer of research grants for many foreign agencies.
