Anat Mirelman, PhD, received her degree in physical therapy from Ben Gurion University in Israel. In 2007, she completed a PhD focused on the use of technology for treatment of gait disorders. That year, Dr. Mirelman joined the Movement Disorders Unit at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, and began working with Prof. Giladi on investigating the genetic factors involved in Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Mirelman’s main interest is in early motor markers of disease in populations at risk for developing PD, with specific interest in problems in gait and biomechanics. Her work on this topic has been published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Mirelman is also a lecturer at Ben Gurion University School of Health-related Professions and a research associate at Harvard Medical School.
