Dr. Anant Patel is a Consultant Respiratory and Acute Medicine Physician and Clinical Lead for Respiratory Medicine at both Cleveland Clinic London and Royal Free Hospital, London. He is a highly committed and empathic clinician and educator. Dr. Patel qualified from Guy’s & St Thomas’ Medical School, London with Distinction in Clinical Subjects. He completed his postgraduate training in Respiratory and Acute Medicine in many centers of excellence across London including King’s College Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, University College Hospital, and London Chest Hospital.
Dr. Patel won a Medical Research Council Fellowship in 2010 and continues to conduct and publish highly ranked original research and is currently the Principal Investigator for two large cancer studies. Dr. Patel won the 2019 Royal Free Group’s Clinician of the Year Award and continues to lead his lung cancer team to achieve among the best clinical outcomes in the country, providing holistic patient-centered care. Dr. Patel has been a vocal campaigner against smoking and is passionate about improving the air we all breathe. He won the 2021 London Public Sector Changemaker of the Year Award for his work on educating patients and healthcare colleagues on the health effects of air pollution.
