Anand Subramony PhD

Anand Subramony is Vice President of Novel Product Technologies at MedImmune, the global biological arm of AstraZeneca. In this role, Dr. Subramony heads the function from the CTO office and oversees efforts in creating patient-centric products that rely on the principles of digital health, connected drug-device combination products, and other novel drug delivery technologies including diagnostics and sensors.

Previously, Dr. Subramony established the drug delivery and device development group at Medimmune and was also Principal Fellow and Head of the Novel Delivery Technologies & Therapeutics program at the Novartis Institute for BioMedical Research. In his other roles, Dr. Subramony led the Biomedical Research group at ALZA /J&J, Director of Materials Science & Drug delivery at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Research Scientist at UW Seattle Dr. Subramony holds an MS in Materials Sc. Engineering from IIT Bombay and PhD from Purdue University.
