Arya is a senior Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with more than 35 years of experience. He is a consultant with NHS practise at King's College Hospital, London. He is working at King's for more than 22 years. He is the foremost elbow surgeon at King's and runs the Elbow clinic in the King's College Hospital, London. He has special expertise in treating elbow problems with keyhole surgery.

He did his orthopaedic training at Jaipur (India), Liverpool (UK) and Dundee (Scotland). He did an elbow fellowship at Tulane University medical school, New Orleans with Buddy Savoie and at Mayo Clinic, the USA with Bernard Morrey. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, England as well as London regional representative of the British Elbow & Shoulder Society, UK.

He is leading several clinical research projects, has published widely and regularly speaks on national and international forums. He is an accredited appraiser and the Infection control lead of the Trauma & Orthopaedic department in his hospital.

He is an ex-member of the Governing Council of King’s College Hospital, London and Deputy Chair of the Local Negotiating Committee of the hospital. He is the immediate past President of ‘The British Indian Orthopaedic Society’, UK.

Mr Arya is an honorary visiting professor at MG university of Medical Science & Technology, Jaipur, India. He regularly lectures medical students and is a clinical adviser/personal tutor of 12 medical students of Guy's King's and St Thomas School of Medicine, London.
