Dr. Anais Malpica is a Professor of Pathology and Gynecologic Oncology at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She received her M.D. degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas, Venezuela, and completed both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residencies at Boston University and Baylor College of Medicine.
This was followed by a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Malpica has authored and co-authored 220 scientific articles, 20 book chapters, and 1 book on gynecologic pathology. She is a member of the editorial board of the “International Journal of Gynecological Pathology” and “Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine”.
