Ana E. Karina Rando Huluk studied medicine and specialized, in Europe and the United States, as an anesthesiologist in highly complex surgeries such as transplants, pediatric cardiac, and pediatric craniofacial surgery. She has 17 years of teaching experience at the University of the Republic in the Chairs of Biomedical Engineering, Physiopathology, and Anesthesiology. She belongs to the team of doctors and nurses who started the current National Liver Transplant Program of my Country, which began its operation on July 14, 2009, and of which she is the Anesthesia coordinator.

She was Head of Anesthesia at the Military Hospital (HCFFAA) and at the Traumatology Institute (INOT). She has vast experience in clinical research with more than 40 publications in Indexed Journals. Earn the International Scholarship Award from the ILTS and the Ministry of Public Health Award from the National Academy of Medicine. She studied for a Masters's in Public Health at the University of London LSHTM. She has been a volunteer anesthesiologist for 15 years with the ReSurge Organization for Pediatric Reconstructive Surgery based in Silicon Valley, California. She was the General Director of Coordination of the Ministry of Public Health of Uruguay and I have worked intensively together with the 19 Departmental Directors of Health in the Covid-19 pandemic and in the main health policies of the MSP led by Dr. Salinas.
