Ana Claudia Harten, Ph.D. CCC-SLP is a Professor and Director of the Speech-Language Pathology Program at Eastern Michigan University. She teaches courses in Multicultural Issues in Speech-Language Pathology, Neurogenic Disorders, and Voice and Craniofacial Disorders. She has published and presented in national and international venues and has worked as a speech-language pathologist in the U.S. and Brazil. She has served the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in different capacities, including as the editor for ASHA Special Interest Group 10 Perspectives on Issues in Higher Education, and as a member of the ASHA Continuing Education Board and ASHA Multicultural Issues Board.

She has also served as a member of ASHA Convention Program Committees (Academic/ Educational Issues, Global Issues, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Cultural/Linguistic Diversity topic committees), as a reviewer for ASHA’s Grant Program for the Projects on Multicultural Activities, ASHA’s Minority Student Leadership Program, and ASHA’s Advancing Academic-Research Career (AARC) Award, as well as a mentor for ASHA STEP and MARC programs.
