Amy Lynn Conners, M.D., is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist and breast imaging specialist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She specializes in breast imaging, image-guided breast biopsy procedures, molecular breast imaging, and the advancement of quality and safety initiatives in radiology. Her clinical expertise focuses on the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer, particularly in women with dense breast tissue, through the use of innovative imaging technologies.

Dr. Conners earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with Highest Honors from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed a preliminary internship in Internal Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital, followed by a Diagnostic Radiology residency and fellowship in Breast Imaging and Intervention at Mayo Clinic. She is certified by the American Board of Radiology and serves as an Associate Professor of Radiology at Mayo Clinic.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Conners is an accomplished researcher whose work centers on molecular breast imaging, breast cancer screening in women with dense breast tissue, imaging lexicon development, and quality improvement in radiology. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has held leadership roles within the Society of Breast Imaging, the Minnesota Radiological Society, the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and multiple Mayo Clinic radiology committees. Her contributions to clinical excellence and innovation have been recognized with several honors, including the Mayo Clinic Team Science Award, the Carman Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice, and the RSNA Advance Level Quality Certificate.
