Amy J. Goldberg MD, FACS

Amy J. Goldberg, MD, FACS, has been appointed Professor and Chair of the Department of Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM), Surgeon-in-Chief for Temple University Health System (TUHS), and Medical Director of Perioperative Services at Temple University Hospital (TUH).
Since joining the LKSOM faculty in 1993, Dr. Goldberg has served as Director of Trauma at Temple University Hospital for 11 years, Chief of Trauma & Surgical Critical Care for 11 years, General Surgery Residency Program Director for 12 years and, since September 2014, as Interim Chair of Surgery. A true leader in patient care, quality and surgical education, Dr. Goldberg has earned numerous resident and medical student teaching awards including the College of Physicians of Philadelphia Exemplar of Humanism in Medicine Award and 15 awards for teaching and clinical training excellence.
