Amy C. Clayton MD

Amy Clayton, M.D., as the new Chair of the Division of Anatomic Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She is now a Consultant in the division and holds the academic rank of Associate Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. Currently, Dr. Clayton is the Vice Chair of DLMP Clinical Practice and Quality, and she serves as Chair of the DLMP CPC and the Quality Oversight Subcommittee.

Dr. Clayton received her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from Iowa Wesleyan College and completed her master’s in biochemistry from the University of Kansas. She earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center and completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology and a fellowship in surgical pathology at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education.
