Dr. Amr Salah Omar is currently working as Consultant of Critical Care Medicine Heart Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar, and Assistant Professor and Consultant of Critical Care Medicine- Cairo University-Beni_Swef division. He obtained his Ph.D. in Critical Care Medicine from Cairo University, Egypt in 2003. He also worked as Consultant of Critical Care Medicine, Supervisor of ICU unit- Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST), Consultant of Critical Care Medicine at King Khaled Hospital Nejran, KSA, Lecturer and Consultant of Critical Care Medicine at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar.
His area of interest related to Arrhythmia Diagnosis and Management, Hemodynamic Monitoring and Management, Percutaneous Tracheostomy, Echocardiography, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Coronary Angiography, Head Injury, Neuro-Critical Care, Mechanical Ventilation, and Acid-Base & Electrolyte Imbalance. He also attended a number of conferences. He is a member of the Egyptian Society of Critical Care Medicine, Emirates Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM). Dr. Amr Salah received honors includes a 2nd prize for the best research in the 3rd international congress of electrophysiology, and awarded the prize for the best oral presentation.
In Egypt, he was involved in the teaching of many critical care issues for my junior colleagues, the nurse staff and the paramedics like the CPR, Mechanical Ventilation, atrial fibrillation, sepsis, as a lecturer then later after being promoted to Assistant Professor of critical care, Cairo University. He is also working as Supervisor of the neurocritical unit- As-Salam International Hospital, and Cairo, Egypt, Deputy Director of Critical Care department, Beni-Suef division, Cairo University.
