Dr. Amr E. Abbas is a Professor of Medicine at the OUWB School of Medicine, the Director of Cardiovascular Research at the Beaumont Hospital, and a coronary, peripheral, and structural, interventional, and clinical cardiovascular specialist. He is board-certified in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, Vascular and Endovascular Medicine, and Cardiac and Coronary Computed Tomography physician. Dr. Abbas’ areas of interest are comparing invasive and non-invasive hemodynamics in the field of structural heart disease. He was awarded Best Teacher of the year by the cardiology fellowship twice and best clinical instructor by OUWB medical students. Dr. Abbas has been invited to lecture in multiple nationally renowned conferences and author and editor of two books, multiple book chapters, and several publications in the field of cardiovascular medicine, particularly in the topic of hemodynamics and aortic stenosis. My expertise is utilized in mentoring several medical students, residents, and cardiovascular fellows in their research endeavors and mentoring interventional and structural fellows in the catheterization lab.
