Dr. Amos Grunebaum, MD, is director of clinical maternal-fetal medicine at the New Yor Hospital-Cornell Weill Medical College. He co-wrote the popular Dr. Ruth's Pregnancy Guide for Couples with Dr. Ruth Westheimer and appears frequently on national TV programs. As an Internet pioneer, he has helped tens of thousands of couples increase their chances of conception through online fertility tools and education.

Dr. Grunebaum became the director of clinical maternal-fetal medicine at New York Hospital-Cornell Weill Medical College in 2001. For nearly 15 years before that he was director of obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine at St.Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center. He is also an assistant professor at Cornell University.

Grunebaum has worked extensively in the Internet, creating several highly successful pregnancy and fertility web sites in the U.S. and Europe. In Germany, he created a pregnancy and fertility web site (www.9Monate.de), which is the most popular European web site on health, fertility, and pregnancy. In the U.S., he created and launched BabyMed.com, which became one of the most popular international fertility and pregnancy sites with many interactive pregnancy and fertility tools. Grunebaum also moderates WebMD's Trying to Conceive message board.

Dr. Grunebaum is the author and co-author of more than 45 peer-reviewed scientific articles, abstracts, and book chapters. Through his private ob-gyn practice, he has delivered more than 3,000 babies and supervised more than 10,000 deliveries.

Over the years, Grunebaum has appeared on many news programs on public television and on several networks. As co-author of Dr. Ruth's Pregnancy Guide for Couples, he participated in a nationwide radio and bookstore publicity campaign. He also appeared as Marisa Tomei's obstetrician in the Ron Howard movie "The Paper."
